Beaford Arts is a charity supported by Arts Council England and the Dartington North Devon Foundation. We are England’s longest running rural arts organisation and we welcome any support you can give to enable us to continue supporting community life across rural North Devon in partnership with our region-wide network of volunteers.
Our Friends make a regular contribution of £10 or more annually. As a thank you you’ll receive an annual report and be invited to special events.
If you would like to become a Friend, please call Jane Woodman on 01769 572 573 or email jane@beaford-arts.org.uk.
Beaford Arts is always looking for local north Devon people to become our volunteer community partners, known as promoters, to enable us to bring professional rural touring artists to new communities across the north Devon Biosphere area. With our support, promoters run extraordinary events in their community spaces. If you would like to know more please contact Claire Ayres, our Communities Manager, at claire@beaford-arts.org.uk.
Another way to volunteer is to become involved in our Archive projects. If you would like to help, please contact Kathryn Burrell on kathryn@beaford-arts.org.uk.
Financial support one very important way to contribute to Beaford Arts. You can supplement the support we receive from funders and partners, towards specific activities associated with the Beaford Archive or with Beaford Education. Your donation can be endowed so that the lump sum is invested to produce a regular return to fund your chosen project. This makes it easy to support Beaford Arts in the long term.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of endowment gifts please contact our Chair of Trustees, Martyn Warren, via Martyn@beaford-arts.org.uk or through our office on 01769 572 573.
Sometimes, people would like to make a gift in their lifetime, but cannot because of current financial commitments or future financial responsibilities. Leaving a gift in your Will is a valuable and personal way to support Beaford Arts, and costs you absolutely nothing now. Beaford Arts’ charitable status means the full value of your legacy gift is received as the donation is exempt from tax. Additionally, any legacy left to us can reduce the inheritance tax liability on your estate.
You are not obliged to tell us that you have made provision in your Will. However, if you do, we can ensure that you receive appropriate thanks as a member of our pledgers group, the 1966 Society.
To make or amend your Will, please see your solicitor. You will need to include:
the percentage or amount you wish to give
Beaford Arts registered address at Crown Yealm House, Pathfields Business Park, South Molton, Devon EX36 3LH
Our registered charity number 279784.
Your solicitor will help you draft appropriate wording if you wish your legacy to be used in specific ways. If you would like to discuss your thoughts or intentions confidentially, please contact our Chair of Trustees, Martyn Warren, via Martyn@beaford-arts.org.uk or through our office on 01769 572 573.
We value all support from our promoters, volunteers, friends, patrons, sponsors, and partners. Thank you. As a donor to Beaford Arts, you will be acknowledged in our annual Donor Report. Patrons, sponsors, friends, and those planning a bequest become Members of The Beaford Arts 1966 Society. Members of The 1966 Society will be invited to annual Beaford Arts special events.
